Small things
Not much to write on this week. I was thinking about a possible issue with .js files vs .json files and decided to look into them. Turns out .jason files are just isolated Java Script objects and are in "trees". Super simple to wrap my head around, thankfully. I'm planning on separating things like level gen and mechanics into their own .jason files, but I'm not sure if I want to do the same with individual NPCs and items. It would make sense to do so, so they can be easily changed, but if there's going to be loads of items, isn't it going to be annoying to sort through everything? or feel messy? I think I'll decide when I get to the point of actually deciding the level of detail I want items to have. Plus, I suppose it would make adding modded items easier as well.
Just remembered, I added a thought I had to the GDD about how long turns will probably take. Give it a look if you feel like it. It's a paragraph at the end, marked by the "Update" header. I should probably add some stuff I said in previous devlogs as well at some point.
But for now, That's all I have.
